How to import your own system image to Oktawave?
Posted by Pomoc Oktawave on 29.11.2014 12:36

The ability to import your own system image to Oktawave depends on compliance of several conditions. When preparing an image, remember about:

  • the proper format: OVF, it must comply with VMware Workstation,

  • the system version: VMX-08,

  • the network card: VMXNET3, E1000

  • the disk controller: VirtualLsiLogicSASController,

  • the system architecture: 64-bit.

After creating a proper template (template OFV), you should log into Oktawave admin panel, and select a bookmark Services | OCS and eventually log using the admin account.

It is possible to create a new container into which you import the image of the system. To perform this, click the button Add container.

The next step is to add the container name. To do it, click Add.

Remember that in case of importing large files to OCS, it is necessary to use an external software, such as Cyberduck to transfer data. Detailed information can be found at the following links:

There also exists a possibility of using another software such as Swift. A documentation for this solution is located here:

In order to run the image from OCS, select the bookmark Services | Import/Export| Import. The last step is to mark the OVF file location, import and run it.
