To use a shared disk in Oktawave, install the GFS2 or OCFS2 file system. This solution is suggested and validated by the administrators of our platform. As to the other (and sometimes better) shared file systems, the user has the possibility to use any one of them according to current needs. GFS2 and OCFS2 systems bring high complexity and potentially require high financial outlay in the implementation, as well as subsequent maintenance. OKTAWAVE VOLUME STORAGE (OVS) is a logical unit running in the virtualized resources of Oktawave data center, defined by the amount of disk space (expressed in GB, gigabytes) and available in internal storage network in a form similar to the hard disk (as a block device recognized by the operating system as a disk).
