Oktawave, a Polish cloud provider, announced that has joined the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider Program. As a program participant, Oktawave provides its efficient and scalable cloud infrastructure with ready-to-use Red Hat solution-based applications, as well as per-hour billing and professional technical support.

The transition to cloud as a model supporting IT solutions infrastructure constitutes, among others, the most strategic decision taken by IT leaders. Successful implementation provides a solid platform that is intended to improve security, savings and also availability on demand, which affects the efficiency of the company and facilitates its competitiveness.

These factors led the world's leading open source solutions provider to collaboration with Oktawave, the Polish cloud that provides IT infrastructure on-demand in IaaS model.

Red Hat's Certified Cloud and Service Provider (CCSP) designation is awarded to Red Hat partners following validation by Red Hat. It stand stands for that Oktawave delivers a scalable, supported and consistent environment for enterprise cloud deployments, as well as technical support.

What are the benefits of collaboration?

As the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider, Oktawave ensures access to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Red Hat Enterprise Linux is used by companies around the world, helping to build high performance and reliable mission-critical IT systems. Due to entering into partnership, customers can acquire Red Hat products directly from Oktawave and leverage the expertise of the Polish support as well as Red Hat specialists.

What are the other Oktawave advantages for customers?

Oktawave provides full cost control for users enabling per-hour billing. It means that customers pay only for used resources.

Moreover, the compliance of personal data protection regulation with the Polish legislation is the other key benefit of using Oktawave infrastructure.
Polish data protection law is more restrictive than EU regulations and meeting the Polish guidelines is particularly important for companies migrating to the cloud.

“One of the keys to improving business processes and the operational efficiency of companies can be a properly designed cloud-based solution that helps to meet the increasing demands of business requirements to IT systems” - said Jan Lekszycki, VP Sales & Alliances at Oktawave. “Solutions using Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oktawave infrastructure can help companies to implement strategic business systems, thereby helping to increase efficiency”.

“With the emergence of cloud computing as an important technology for enterprises across Poland, we are pleased to work with Oktawave to provide customers with more scalable, reliable and cost effective technology solutions” - said Krzysztof Rocki, regional sales manager, Central & Eastern Europe at Red Hat.

The accreditation of Oktawave as a Certified Cloud Service Provider marks the first step of collaboration between two companies. Oktawave is going to introduce additional Red Hat products to its offer in the near future.
